Family Fused Glass Drop In Session

July 31 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

One event on October 30, 2018 at 10:30am

NEW – we’re offering you the opportunity to bring the kids and be creative together! We often get asked if children can come to our regular fused glass workshops, but we do reserve them for those aged 14+. So this time we have a different format that makes it accessible to our younger customers (minimum age 6 years for safety reasons).

Sarah will have a selection of shapes ready to be decorated with pre-cut small pieces of glass. There’ll be no customer cutting of glass taking place on the day. Sarah will take your creations away, fuse them in her kiln and return them for collection within a couple of weeks. The price for each item is £6, payable on the day. The session is intended for children, however accompanying adults are welcome to take part subject to the proviso below regarding supervision.

Please be aware – glass is inherently sharp and can be dangerous if misused. All children MUST be accompanied by an adult who remains with them and is responsible for supervising the child. Children behaving inappropriately will not be allowed to take part. We are limited to 8 ‘makers’ at any one time, so you may be asked to wait or come back later if there are no places immediately available.

Hot and cold drinks as well as a selection of home made cakes are available from our lovely tea room.

What do our customers say about our workshops?

What was the best thing about the workshop?

I am not very artistic , so it caters for all levels, and still the end product looks good. (Fused Glass, February 2018)

Really helpful teaching and nice small group. Loved it! (Claire, Beginners Machine Sewing January 2018)

Very enjoyable relaxed atmosphere, learning new techniques. (Jan, Weave Pattern and Texture on a Peg Loom, January 2018)

Making something I’m proud of, learning new skills, and the social side. Cheese scone recommended! (Jan, January 2018, Beginners Patchwork)

A good way to spend time with friends; the finished product; swishing around with my new skirt; learning how to use my sewing machine. (Mar, Darcy, Lizzie, and Isabella. January 2018, Children’s private group sewing)

Lovely relaxing thing to do in the build up to Christmas. (Claire, Fused Glass, December 2017)

Very relaxing and enjoyable, will definitely do more at home. (Sharon, Needle Felting, December 2017)
