Join Sarah Aumayer for this special jewellery workshop. Make your choice of pendants or brooches in beautiful dichroic glass, all supplied by Sarah. The nature of the glass means it shimmers, shines, and changes colour as light shines on it. This would be the perfect opportunity to spend time with Mum or your friends, or make something totally unique for a very special gift or for yourself of course.
We’ve structured this workshop slightly differently to give you more flexibility about how many items you make and how much you spend. The basic cost is £20, payable on booking your place, and includes one brooch or pendant. Further pendants or brooches costs an additional £8, payable on the day(see below for new item available from 2018). The pendants will be finished ready to hang on a chain (not supplied) and the brooches will be supplied with a suitable ‘pin’, both in a silver finish (not sterling silver). We have a selection of chains in different lengths available to purchase at very reasonable prices.
NEW – in 2018 we’ll be adding earrings as option in this workshop. Available as an add on item, at £12 per pair. Sarah will supply slightly smaller pieces of glass so you can create an entire set of coordinating jewellery
Some people will be able to make these items very quickly, others will want to spend more time creating designs etc. The maximum time allowed is 1.5 hours, but you may finish your items much more quickly. It’s really up to you how long it takes and how many pieces you make, within the time constraints of the workshop.
After creating your works of beauty, Sarah will take them away, fuse them in her kiln and return them to The Blue Room for collection after about 2 weeks. We’ll call you to let you know when they’re ready for collection.
Please note the photo shows examples of pendants that can be made.
