April 21 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Come and learn all the basic techniques of knitting with our friendly tutor, Ann. Over two sessions (approx. 2 hours each) you will learn casting on (and off!), the basic stitches, ribbing, increasing and decreasing ,and basic pattern reading. Depending on how the group progresses we may be able to cover more skills, such as changing colours. The lessons are 2 weeks apart to give you a chance to practice what you learn in between lessons. The course costs £50 and basic materials are included. We also offer this short course for 2 or more friends who’d like to learn together with dates and times to suit you. We can also offer private lessons at £15 per hour with either Ann or Lesley (who runs our Knit and Natter group) if you prefer one to one tuition, want to learn a specific skill (such as knitting in the round or using double ended needles), or have a problem you need help with.
